LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL...

Jenna and Layla took a trip back east with a friend and her kids. While she was there she went to the Law Enforcement Memorial and looked up an old friend for us.
Layla running around enjoying life.
Running around where all the names are...
Our dear friend Larry Penrod
Larry was a friend of my parents, he went to church with us and was a great man who loved the youth and was always there for anyone who needed him. Larry was the one that got Pete and I together and I will always be so grateful for that. I know he is looking down on us and is so proud. I hope you are doing well Larry and I am sure you are visiting with my sweet mother.
Thanks again...I couldn't have asked for a better husband.

CATCHING UP

Jen's friend Robin and her boyfriend Adam came over and we played Apples to Apples.
Layla was our little entertainment.
Wendi said something funny, Jen cracked up.
Layla laughing at her mommy
I have no idea what Robin is laughing about but it looks funny.
It was really fun to have everyone together. It was nice to have Robin around again and to meet Adam. Good times.

TRIP TO THE CITY...WITH FRIENDS

We spent the day in San Francisco with Jim and Patty.
We visited the Academy of Sciences and the Rain Forest Cafe.
The penguins are my favorite
The Pendulum was really fun to watch
Pete and my reflection in the Pendulum
The roof looking up
The roof on the outside
Looking down at the aquarium
Patty and Jim down in the aquarium
Tons of butterflies
Jelly fish

I loved this quote...
I want one
Patty and Jim on the roof overlooking the surrounding area
Pete and I on the roof overlooking the area
The living roof
The Rainforest Cafe...We actually took Jen, Jeremy and Layla there when they came out to visit but I lost the pictures.
Pete trying to let the snake get me, this thing moved, and I hate snakes.
We had a great time. We live in an area where there is so much to do, we need to take more time exploring around home.

LIFE'S ROAD...

...and where it takes you.
Matt and Philly have been friends since grade school. Philly was alway here at the house, he just seemed like a part of our family. The boys did everything together. They did many things through out the years. When they reached the higher grades in High School, they kind of went their separate ways but still always were friends and had some classes together. Philly left tonight for MEPS, he has joined the United States Air Force. We are going to miss him but we are so proud of him and know this next chapter in his life will be great for him. We wish him nothing but the best and can't wait to hear about this adventure. Best of Luck, Philly!!!!!

MY BEST FRIEND...

surprised me with the cutest planter filled with some plants,
some birdies and a bird house with a faucet on it.
She delivered it while I was sleeping.
So when I woke up Matt took me outside to see my surprise.
(I was actually afraid it might be a puppy when Matt said it was outside)
Anyway, Linda you rock and I love, love, love it!!!
Thanks a million

BIRD FOUND THE BRANCH...

Lost friend found....Peggy Branch Hyita.
Peggy and I have been friends since grade school. We lost touch because she moves around alot, and messed up my address book. Hahhahaha. Anyway I found her through a comment her sister left on my cousins (Shani) blog. I asked Shani if she knew Peggy and of course she did and gave me her blog address. Thanks Shani!!! I left a comment and we were able to email each other and we talked on the phone the other day for over 3 hours (that is what my cell phone said). It was so fun to talk to her and catch up with what we have both been up too. Thanks Peggy it was great talking to you and your family is awesome and we have damn good kids!!
My birthday slumber party in grade school.
I am getting a drink at the table and Peggy is the 2nd one from the left eating something.
Having a sleep over, this is my bedroom when it was down stairs.
I think we were in Jr High.
Youth conference at BYU
Peggy and Keith at one of our High School Dances.
My mom made dinner (steaks) for us before the dance.
I am on the floor in the background eating chocolate fondue.

Great memories of a great friend.

FOREVER FRIENDS....

One of my dear friends, Denise and her daughter, Sydney, my adopted daughter, came to California for their Spring Break.
We have been friends since before my Matt and her daughter Alex started kindergarten, and they are now both in their freshman year in College.
Anyway, we met this morning at Starbucks and caught up on each others lives.
It was so good to see them, I miss them like crazy!!!
She was like my sister away from home and we have alot of great memories.
Like putting up a pool in my back yard, quilting, scrapbooking all hours of the night and fixing her cable. Hahahahahahaha.
She is one of my dearest friends and will be forever.
She inspires me.
After her husband passed away she moved to Arizona to be closer to her family.
She went back to college to get her degree, she now teaches 4th grade.
She is probably the best teacher ever.
Love ya girl!!!!
Here we are with her daughter Sydney.
Sydney, you are gorgeous!!!
Her other daughter Alex had to stay in Arizona, she is working and going to school.
We met them later at Murrilo's, they were having lunch with some other friends so we set behind them.
Matt got to say hello and Sydney ended up eating lunch with us.
We missed you Alex!!
Great Friends and Great Memories.
She is my friend for a Lifetime

FACEBOOK...

My BFF from High School just found me on Facebook.
Taylor, Spencer, Michelle and Bridger
We have stayed in contact through the years, been through some good times and hard times and we have visited her a few times in Southern Utah and played golf.
Toot and Bird, wow what memories that brings back!!
Anyone who knew us then would have some great memories and a good laugh.
We had so much fun and you couldn't ask for a better friend.
She is a great mom and does hair in her own shop.
We have a history of a certain fountain in Cedar City,
we have even taken our kids there through the years and taught them how to fountain hop. hahahahahaha.
Toot, you will always be my best friend, you have taught me so much and you have such a kind heart.
When we get together it seems like we have never been apart.
Sometimes I miss the good old days, but it is nice to know we both survived.
Well, Toot you still have your kids to raise, hahahaha
Good times and happy memories!!!!
