HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Thinking of you often, wishing we could have a good long talk and missing you like crazy.
I am so glad you are my mom.
I am so grateful that you touched my life and taught me so much.

MOM...

If Roses Grow in Heaven
If roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it everyday,
But there is an ache within my heart
That will never go away.

Wow, I can't believe it has been 4 long years.
Sometimes it seems like yesterday and sometimes if feels like forever.
I feel like you have missed so much, but then I know you are always with us
it is just different.
I have so much to say, to share and to still ask you
it just isn't fair.
I know you are only a whisper away,
but sometimes it would be nice to just feel your arms around me,
no words, but just understanding
and to see that smile on your face.
I love you and miss you!!

JUST LIKE MOM

Driving home from work I always have my music on...really loud...I might even sing along.
On the way home the other day, I looked down and my thumbs were going to the beat of the music. I realized this is how my mom used to drive. She would have the music on, while listening to us go on and on about what was going on in our lives and her thumbs were moving to the beat of the music. Sometimes if we weren't talking she would sing along to the song. Her nails were long and always painted red. What a great memory.
Growing up you never want to be like your mom...now I am so thankful for the traits she handed down to me. Sometimes when say somthing or do something...I think oh my gosh I am turning into my mother. Now I am so happy to have those wonderful traits from a wonderful woman.

3 YEARS AGO TODAY...

My beautiful mother left us for another journey.
I can't believe how long you have been gone
It seems like just yesterday, but it also seems like 10 years
You are always in my thoughts
I wish I could hug you one more time, touch you and tell you I love you
I wish you were here with your great wisdom
I wish I could bring you roses, hear you laugh and reminisce of the great times we had.
I love you, miss you and hope you are dancing in heaven.
You were the best and always will be,
love your little bird

Need a hug?

...I do!
Just missing you, wishing we could cuddle up and have a long talk.
YOU should be here to share the good and the bad, I miss that!
YOU always know the right things to say, I miss that!
YOU have an infectious laugh, I miss that!
YOU radiate love, I miss that!
YOUR eyes, I miss them!

I miss you!!!
*tear, tear.

Happy Birthday

A big Happy Birthday out to my mom. She would have been 73 today.
I miss you but I also know you are with me often and cheering me on.
I hope you are visiting with loved ones, dancing and enjoying your day.
Love you and thank you for being the greatest example and always knowing the right things to say to make things better.
You are my strength and inspiration

Strength...

Here I am trying to accept my trials and wishing the Lord would take them away. I came across this picture and found this example of strength. My mom never complained, she just dealt with whatever the Lord gave her with a smile on her face knowing this was her trial and the Lord would help her though it. She went through so much and finally got her leg, learned to walk on it and was making plans with dad to do some things together...Then the Lord took her home.
I miss you mom and I am so thankful for your example. I wish you were here to give me a pep talk and give me a big hug. Don't give up on me. You are my angel, my strength and example in all things.
I know you know what I am going through and I know you are right here with me, I just miss your voice and your touch and seeing you smile and hearing you laugh. I miss you so much!!!!

My mom...

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it
35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

And here I am at 45 wishing I could talk things over with my mom. Words cannot express the feelings you have when you lose your mom. Even after 2+ years I still want to pick up the phone and call her and share my trials and triumphs. I can't believe she is not here with us. I MISS YOU MOM!!!!!
