I WENT SHOPPING...

and bought a new vacuum.
Yea, sounds great, but I was so excited because I hated my Dyson.
My Dyson broke, too much of Wendi's hair in it, hahahahaha.
I love, love, love my new one, it leaves fresh vacuumed lines
on my carpet and it actually picks everything up.
I am a happy woman!!!

ANOTHER TESTAMENT OF CHRIST

Thanks Kylie for putting this on facebook so I could see it.

I can't wait for it to come out.

COLLEGE

My baby started his 2nd year of college today...

Where did all the time go?
He has grown up so fast.
He will always be my buddy.
Thanks Matty for being the great person that you are,
and for always making me laugh.
Love you and hope this will be a great year for you!!

YAY!!!

My honey comes home in the morning.
He has been missed and I can't wait to see him.

OOOOPS...

When Matty got home from work I was visiting with him and I noticed that he received his license plates for his new car. He laughed and said "Yea, check these out". He lifted them up to show me and this is what they looked like (these are not his of course).

We just laughed...now what do we do?
Yikes!!!!

EXAMPLE...

Be the kind of woman that when
your feet
hit the ground each morning
The devil says,
"OH CRAP, SHE'S UP"!
*Thanks to Aunt Claudia for sharing this with me.

OINK OINK...

Man driving down road.
Woman driving up same road.
They pass each other.
The woman yells out the window, PIG!
Man yells out window, BITCH!
Man rounds next curve.
Man crashes into a HUGE PIG in middle of road and dies.

Thought For The Day:
If men would just listen!!!!

STILL THANKFUL...

I am thankful for:

Lake Tahoe getaways: We have had the opportunity to have a few days away at Lake Tahoe. It was so nice to just enjoy the water, weather and peacefulness. We all had a great time, whatever we were doing up there, even if it was just floating in the water.

Cameras: I love my camera!! I have always been a picture person and appreciate that I can take a photo to keep the memories alive.

Red Bull: I have sure had to use this lately. I am not a morning person and I DO NOT like getting up at 3:45 every morning for work. Oh well, what would I do without Red Bull.
Yummy!!!

Toe nail polish: I love to paint my toenails in the summer time. There are so many great colors, but what is funny is I usually pick the same 2 or 3 colors. I like to add little flowers too.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

RANDOM THINGS THAT BUG...

*People who have rules that they don't follow themselves.
*Those people who just HAVE to pull out in front of you (when nobody's behind you)
. . . . then go really friggin slow.
*Those irritating people who keep inching forward at red lights then don't go when the damned thing turns green!
*Networks who won't keep a show in the same time slot for any amount of time then cancel it because it can't find an audience (well duh we can't find it!!)
*DJ's who keep talking when the song is playing.
*Anybody who drives slower than me.
*People that get in my way when I have something to get done.
*Those damn semi-transparent network logos that take up the bottom 1/4 of the TV screen.
*People who lose 100+ pounds on the subway diet (yeah right).
*When you go past the time you want to set the alarm clock to.
*People who stop in the middle of the isle....right in front of you.
*When you forget what you were going to say.
*When you go into a room to get something and you forget what you went to get.
*When I don't understand how to do something on the computer. (Matty help me!)
*People who don't appreciate what you do for them.
*When someone is about to tell you something then goes "no wait, never mind".
*When you bite your tongue or cheek.
*When you forget sunscreen because you don't think you will get burned.
*People that are lazy and leave work for others.
*When a chip bag is half filled with air.
*When there are no spots in a parking lot.
*When you are IMing and someone IMs you and you type in that IM instead of the intended one. Even worse if you send the message to the wrong person.
*When you are in a hurry and you hit every red light, and get behind every slow car.
*When people say,"Can I ask you a question?" This is clearly a question, leaving you no options, as they have already asked you a question.
*Long toenails.
*Dirty fingernails.
*Crab grass.
*Snakes and lizards (why did God invent them?).
*When you are drinking something, and it "goes down the wrong pipe".
*When your favorite pen runs out of ink.
*Dirty flip flops.
*People who wear flip flops with jeans and a jacket.
*When you wait at the doctors office for an hour, and see the doctor for 5 minutes.
*When you dial a number, and you get that loud screeching noise.
*People who don't leave messages.
*When you work out all week and eat healthy, get on the scale and nothing, no weight loss!
*Illegal immigrants.
*Having my gas gauge below 1/2 tank.
*When something really irritates you and there is not a damn thing you can do to change it!!!!!

DID I DO ENOUGH?

Australian Prime Minister does it again!!

This should be a world wide rule. If you want to move to any country and become part of that country...WELCOME, But if want to change anything in that new country you wish to live in ...GOODBYE
It took a lot of courage for this man to speak what he had to say for the world to hear. The retribution could be phenomenal, but at least he was willing to take a stand on his and Austrilia's beliefs. Yes, allow those that want to come, to come. But understand that if you want to go to a country not of your birth, you should expect to live by their rules and respect their ways of life. This doesn't mean you have to give up yours. I think he explains it very well.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..
Separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote:
'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. '
'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'
'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'
'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'
'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.'
'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

I agree!!!!

ANOTHER TRIP TO TAHOE...

Wendi and I both had the day off so we decided we had so much fun last week in Tahoe we were going to have a girls day in Tahoe. We had the best time but for some reason our sunscreen did not work, maybe because we were in the water most of the time and it washed off...geeze why didn't I think of that earlier and put some more on.
We took our little snacks, cooler, blanket, towels, chairs, beach umbrellas, camera, iPod w/speakers and something to read.
We had the best day!!!

Wendi heading out in the Lake with her raft

paddling out
On my floatie
paddling way out, I love to go as far as I can and float back.

The drive home. Notice the orb above my head in both pictures, I think my guardian angel is with me. Oh and I love having cruise control so I can sit the way I want too.

The beautiful sunset on the way home.
Another great day at Lake Tahoe. Can't wait to go again.

YES, I AM OBSESSED...

Reunion scene

THE WINDOW THROUGH WHICH WE LOOK

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. "That laundry is not very clean", she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap". Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?" The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."
~ ~ ~And so it is with life.
What we see when watching others,
depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

I MISS YOU MOTHER DEAR

1. My Mother taught me about ANTICIPATION...
"Just wait until your father gets home."

2. My Mother taught me about RECEIVING....
"You are going to get it when we get home!"

3. My Mother taught me to MEET A CHALLENGE...
"What were you thinking? Answer me when I talk to you! Don't talk back to me!"

4. My Mother taught me LOGIC...
"If you fall out off that swing and break your neck, I'm not taking you to the Dr."

5. My Mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE...
"If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."

6. My Mother taught me to THINK AHEAD...
"If you don't pass your spelling test, you'll never get a good job."

7. My Mother taught me HUMOR...
"When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

8. My Mother taught me how to BECOME AN ADULT...
"If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

9. My Mother taught me about GENETICS...
"You're just like your father."

10. My Mother taught me about my ROOTS...
"Do you think you were born in a barn?"

11. My Mother taught me about WISDOM OF AGE...
"When you get to be my age, you will understand."

And last but not least...

12. My Mother taught me about JUSTICE...
"One day you'll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you....
Then you'll see what it's like!"

JUST SAYIN...

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around. If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him. She finally overtook him at the checkout, and she turned to him and said, 'I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease; it's just that you look so much like my late son.' He answered, 'That's okay.' 'I know it's silly, but if you'd call out 'Good bye, Mom' as I leave the store, it would make me feel so happy.' She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, The man called out, 'Good-bye, Mom.' The little old lady waved, and smiled back at him. Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone's day, he went to pay for his Groceries. 'That comes to $121.85.' said the clerk. 'How come so much? I only bought 5 items..' The clerk replied, 'Yeah, but your Mother said You'd be paying for her things, too.'

Don't trust little Old Ladies!!!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Thought this was too funny.

FACES OF LAYLA

Jen is so good, she sends me pictures all the time on my phone. I love getting these pictures, it makes my day to see my sweet little Layla bug and what she is up too.
Here she is being a "pepper"
but she likes her bottle better
Enjoying the sun
Cake? What cake?
She loves to snap the buckle together on the high chair, she doesn't want to sit in it she just wants to play with it.
she used to be afraid of balls, I guess she got over it
makes you wonder what is going through that little brain of hers
She has something on her thumb
Dancing on daddy's toes
Watching Sesame Street, she loves Elmo
Packing a 4lb medicine ball around the gym. Jen called me from the gym while I was heading to work and I could hear Layla hollering and having the time of her life.

Enjoying the van, she can see more now
Asleep with her Giants blanket
She fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up when Jen put her in the shopping cart
She is going to play Wii, so don't even think about taking her Wii mote away
Bathing beauty
She is trying to climb up the slide just like her mommy used to do
I miss this little nugget. Thanks Jen for sending me pictures, I don't know what I would do without them. They make my day and makes it a little, I said little easier having you so far away.
