SOMEONE...

...Loves being a granma.
Not naming names but this granma wishes she could do her granma"ing" at a little closer distance.
The household in which said granma lives is going through withdrawls.
So granma put up some new pictures for her and her family (Debby)
to enjoy this little nugget.
granma and Layla bug while they were here for Thanksgiving.
Jen sent this to said granma stating Layla likes to put her hand in Elmo's mouth when he talks.
Said granma also stole the following pictures from Jen's facebook.
Thanks Jen!!!
Layla playing with her Uncle Josh, Jeremy's brother.
At a new years party with her mom and dad.

Thanks Jen for letting me steal your pics.

Happy Birthday...

...out to Pete's nephew Chago.
Hope you have a great day and wishing all your dreams come true.

Max...

5 years ago today Pete's dad Max died.
We have such great memories of him.
He was a wonderful dad (pa) and Pete's best friend.
We think of him often and feel that he is with us.
He was such a great example and loved his family.
He enjoyed and loved his grandchildren.
I know he sent his great grandchildren down with lots of love and watches over them always.
Everytime we watch the Cal Bears, the Giants or the horseraces we think of him.
Max, we miss you and think of you always.
Thank you for touching our lives.

SO HOOKED...

When I was at my sister Debby's house this summer her kids RJ and Trissy got me hooked on "Dexter". I watched the first 3 episodes of the first season. So when I got home I bought the first season on DVD then I never had time to watch it.
Wendi found the second season on DVD and bought it for me. I still did not have time to watch it. Months went by and Matt was telling me the other day he heard about this show called "Dexter" and he heard it was pretty good and was thinking about watching it. I cracked up and told him I had the first and second seasons. He was surprised but happy. We watched it together and finished the first season and started the second season. We are going to watch some more tomorrow. I am wishing we had Showtime so we could be watching the third season as well.

Anxiously waiting for season three to come out.

where did all my time go...

Today...

I had 7 hours to push carts at work...on the good side I had beautiful weather. I had time to think about how truly blessed I am. I had time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. I had time to think about my mom, my husband, my kids and my dreams. On the bad side I am sore, tired and just plain don't understand why my body is not as young as it used to be. I am totally exhausted and realize I cannot do that again. I just do not have the strength and energy. I had about an hour left to go and my knee started hurting, which scared me so I slowed down and did not push as many carts and I walked a little slower. I also just about set down and cryed!!!

Always Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. Those are the times that you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because it gives you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become blessings.

I am thankful for a great 2008 and looking forward to an awesome 2009.
To all my family and friends wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year.

What a day...

I had my job interview (interigation) today.
I hope it went well and I said the right things.
I should be hearing from them soon.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Pete went with me and made some phone calls while he waited in the truck.
After the interview we went to Gillwood's and had breakfast.
It was a really cute little restuarant.
Then we went shopping for trailers.
We liked this one but are still debating if we want to get one.

Then Pete had to go to work and I came home and cleaned and did laundry.
I have to go pick him up tonight.

Rainy days...

I slept in this morning as I am coming down with another cold...what is up with that? Three colds in less than 3 months. Anyway, I was dreading going to work tonight in the rain. I have to work 5 to 10 pushing carts. Yea, sounds like fun huh? As I was getting my rain boots ready with the gel insoles....
...Jen sent me this cute little picture of Layla bug learning to feed herself. It made my day. (I still don't want to go push carts tonight though) It is so fun to get these pictures and see her learn and grow everyday. What a sweet little spirit she is. So full of life, so busy learning about her surroundings and trying new things everyday. WE love you Layla bug.

Happy Birthday to Amanda...

Sarah invited Wendi and I out to dinner for Amanda's birthday. They were all meeting at Tahoe Joe's. Wendi actually pulled herself away from the Sugar Bowl to go with me for Amanda's birthday.
Sarah, Brooke and Gunnar.

Seth, his girlfriend and Nicki
Sarah feeding Ben some cake, I think there is a private joke here, someday she will have to tell me about it. ahhahaha
Brooke and her little guy, he was so cute and well behaved we hardly knew he was there.
I had a great time and it was fun getting to know some of my Costco peeps a little better and outside of work.
They are some of the greatest people I have ever met, I hope we stay friends for a long long time.
Amanda, hope you had a great birthday, you are a great person and deserve it!!!!

The Sugar Bowl...

Wendi asked for Friday off so she could cheer her Utah Utes on when they played the University of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. She had her Utah clothes on, her Utah blanket and pillows surrounding her. Her and I also had a bet with Pete that Utah would win. Pete bet us a box of golf balls that Utah would lose and if they won he would pay us both $100.00. Wendi and I are $100.00 richer.

Way to go Utes!!!!

Happy New Years...

This was Matt New Years Eve...yea, we did not see him all night except when he came out to eat.

Wendi's friend Amy came down to help us bring in the new year.
They also made plans to get tickets for a Jazz/Kings game in February.
These two have been friends for about 7 years.
Wendi and I bringing in the new year with Martinelli's

Wishing all our family and friends a very happy and healthy new year!!!

Friends...

Wendi's friend Courtney came over to visit.
It was so good to see her, we had fun catching up.
Later they hung out and watched some movies.

Finally...

...I got my Halloween blanket done.
It is so warm and cozy.
The spider webs are actually glittery and I love how the green yarn matches.

My computer is a little...

...under the weather.
My computer guy came over today and got things running pretty good but there are still some problems. I didn't even realize how much I depend on my computer for everyday things. I have some stuff to do for Relief Society, My Christmas letter that has now turned to my New Years letter and of course blogging. Since my computer has been down I started reading the Twilight series again for the 3rd time, so many of you should know nothing gets done but reading. I just started Eclipse so I only have two books to go. Then the depression will set in. Hahahahaha.
